Health care in this country

For $125 a MONTH to insure my HEALTHY (as in hasn't been to the doctor since last April) almost three-year-old, it DARN WELL ought to be free for the pediatrician to tell me that she has a cold and not bronchitis.

Just a thought

I may not know garbage about the economic situation that we're in (aside from the fact that once you start talking in terms of trillions, I'm pretty completely lost in the abstraction) or agree with what some of our leaders are doing with money.

BUT. I sure as goodness love the vision/perspective/perception that our President has for America's place in the world. I watched his 60 minutes interview from a few days ago with Ben last night. I was impressed by the fact that, for once, one of our leaders seems to realize that when we play the part of the bully, it makes lots of people REALLY mad at us, which is just a bad situation all around.

It's a nice change.

Hooray!

As of this week I'm down to weekly appointments at the midwife....which means that we are very rapidly nearing the end. And beginning. I'm SO excited!

AND....my little sis gets to come out and be here! She's going to stay three whole weeks...honestly, if baby doesn't makes his appearance sometime in there, it'll be because the planets are misaligned or something. I'm excited to see her, and for her to meet him.

We've got to get on the ball and pick out some names for this child, or else we might be in trouble!
